Welcome to Beers & B-Sides – where great music, good mates, and a few well-earned pints come together.

We're Neave, Connor, Ema, and Robert – four friends from the North East of England with a shared love of music, vinyl records, and putting the world to rights over a table in the pub. Every week, we pick a different album on vinyl, press play, pour a pint, and chat our way through it. No scripts, no music snobbery, no pretending we know everything – just honest opinions, plenty of laughs, the odd questionable take, and the kind of banter you'd expect from four friends who spend far too much time together.

But Beers & B-Sides has always been about more than just the albums we love.

One of our favourite parts of every episode is Home Brewed, where we shine a spotlight on the incredible musicians coming out of the North East. Whether it's a brand-new single, an EP, an album release, an upcoming gig, or a tour announcement, we're passionate about giving local artists and bands the recognition they deserve. The North East is packed with amazing talent, and we think more people should be hearing about it.

That's exactly why we created this website.

Our goal is to build a home for the North East music scene—a place where emerging bands and artists can be discovered, celebrated, and supported. We want to create a growing database of local talent, helping music fans find their next favourite band while giving artists another platform to share their music, upcoming gigs, and latest releases.

Of course, you'll also find all of our latest podcast episodes right here, along with anything else we dream up in the future. (We're full of ideas... whether they're all good ones remains to be seen.)
